Frances's art career began at a very early age when she discovered the fun of painting her toys and other household objects with house paint and her father's brushes. Studying art throughout her school years gave her a fine art degree in Kansas and Washington state. After raising her family she began painting wall murals up to 30 feet in length in private homes, commercial buildings and hospitals. Some of her murals were published in Better Homes and Gardens, Paint Decor and Decorate With Paint magazines. When scaffolding and ladders became too burdensome, she changed to fine art paintings using mixed media. Today Frances's watercolor and mixed media drawings and paintings are interpretative with bold use of color and styles. She employs various techniques and especially enjoys incorporating figures in her work.
Through the years music, ballet, ballroom and latin dancing have been a high priority for Frances who has over 25 years of training in dance. Today she still continues her interest in music, dancing and is an Advisory Board member of Pacific Ballroom Dance Company. She is a proud mother of Tom and Kelli and the love of her life is her husband Michael who is a dentist, sculptor and her eternal dance partner.
